RELICS & ROSES

8.99

A moving and beautiful documentary on the first UK tour of the relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux, filmed by Michael Whyte (No Greater Love) and including exclusive interviews with the Archbishop of Westminster and the Dean of York as well as many others. Observing the veneration from such disparate venues as the great cathedrals of Liverpool and Westminster, York Minister, a Hospice and Wormwood Scrubs Prison, the role of faith in the 21st century is brought into focus.

St Thérèse of Lisieux ‘the little flower’, was born in 1874 and entered the Carmel at Lisieux at the age of 15. Nine years later at the age of 24 she died from tuberculosis. ‘The Story of a Soul’, her autobiographical memoir published posthumously, revealed her spiritual genius and insight to the mystery of faith. She was declared a saint in 1925.
